Iphone 6 Plus frequencies

When I was looking at the Bands for the various carrier Iphones the bands for Verizon and T mobile were Identical. Does this mean you could use a T Mobile Iphone on a CDMA network. The band thing gets confusing because, for example, the US has LTE, Europe has LTE, but they are not compatible. Someone had said that the Verizon phone would be the universally most network compatible.
