iPhone 6 Plus Lock Screen Resolution Problem

On the lock screen on my iPhone 6 Plus the status bar at the top with the time, battery, reception, etc., isn't the same as when I am on the home screen or in any optimized app. The status bar in the lock screen is the same size as when I am in an app that is not optimized for the 6 Plus. Is this a bug?

No, it was that way on my 5s in iOS 7. I guess it probably is more noticeable on the bigger screen though

I can confirm I noticed the same thing on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7. Kind of annoying at first, but eventually I started to ignore it.
