Nobody knows and they won't give an estimate, they just keep saying sign up for the release notification on their website... but based on the reviews for the iPhone 6 Defender its probably best to let someone else test out the case first, because that one didn't fit correctly and was putting marks on peoples phones.
Hah, you are correct. It's odd that bestbuy has them in-store today when Otterbox isn't even selling them nor have they announced its availability.
Those seemed rushed. Hopefully since these were presumably designed and manufactured AFTER the Plus was released it'll be a much better fit. I'll probably order mine day 1. If for some reason it doesn't fit I'll return it.

I have a defender for my iphone 6 which I should be getting tomorrow. I'm planning on using it until the revised defender is released. I haven't heard anything about leaving marks on the phone. What are we talking about? Where are the marks and what are they? Scratches?
That's because they don't! Lol, none of the stores in South Florida have them in stock.
I bought 4 for the 6. I don't need 4 so if anyone wants one PM me. I can ship it too anywhere within the 48 states.

Also there was some messages on their Facebook page about it causing marks on some peoples phones. I've been waiting for the Defender for the iPhone 6+ as well, the new design looks much improved
I recently saw 2 defender cases for the iphone 6. One case said for iphone 4.7 and the other said for the iphone 6. Is it possible that the one that said the iphone 6 is newer and updated without the original defects?

If you go to the otterbox site, the pictures of the defender iphone 6+ look identical to the original defender iphone 6. Where are the improvements? Did they just use that picture for promotional purposes?
The defender has always damaged phones in my experience. My 4s ended up with scratched glass and marks all over the aluminum sides. It's just a backwards design. I have better luck with cases that are silicone/TPU making contact with the phone, and the hard plastic on the outside. I'm looking forward to the Symmetry.
