Hey, I have had my iPhone 6 Plus since December and I am beginning to notice my screen is beginning to pop-up around the volume buttons. If I touch the screen around that region the screen is able to flex down. I made an appointment at the Apple Store, but I am concerned what they are going to do for me. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get this phone repaired when I didn't even cause this issue. My phone doesn't have any major dents or scratches, except for slight blemish on the corner of actual casing.

What I am really concerned about is that the phone appears to be bending slightly around the volume buttons, which is where the screen lifting thing is occurring.

I am hoping that somebody has had this issue as well and can shed some light on what Apple will do.

Basically what I am trying to get at, will I most likely get my phone replaced when I go to the Apple Store and they see whats wrong with this phone, and there is no signs of physical damage?

Thanks for reading!

If it's mildly bent and that's the cause for the screen lifting. Bend it back so it's straight and then go to apple.

You bent it, should not try to hide this from rep. With AppleCare Plus you would be OK, but if not, you are now committing fraud in trying to hide your mistake no matter what others may come on here to say to you that its OK. Its not

If its bent during reasonable use through no fault of your own then no, your not committing fraud.

It is reasonable that you should be able to use the iphone without a case under normal conditions without bending.

Although I'm speaking from an EU 2 year warranty point of view, not USA.

The product must be 'as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality'.
An iphone that bends upon normal use isn't of satisfactory quality.

How do you know its from normal use ? How ? Sat on it ? Hit a table perhaps ? Unknown ?

How is a phone going to bend with normal use ? Come now, tell me that works

With my education being in law, generally I did not cause this issue. There is no physical proof of bending to the degree that it was purposeful. The screen issue has more prominence then the bending issue. The bend is noticeable if you run your finger down the space between the volume buttons and the screen.

Generally to the naked eye you would not notice the bend by appearance, unless you really began looking. To that point it definitely is not attributable to physical abuse because the bend would be much more noticeable, since I have had this phone since December.

I had the same issue. But I didn't know. I went to apple cause I had the crescent moon on my front camera. He took my phone and tried to wobble it one the table. It wobbled very very slightly and he refused to help saying I had to pay x amount for a replacement. I got really annoyed since I baby my phone and don't sit on it. I went home bent it back so it didn't wobble and went back another day. They replaced the screen and now I'm a happy customer again. I still have the "bent" body but there doesn't seem to be any issues.

Well my phone doesn't wobble when the screen is placed face down on a table. I mean that's the only way to test if it wobbles, due to the camera lens protruding from the back.

This crescent moon you speak of, I think I have this too. Does it look like this?

Yes it looks like that. But try putting the phone back down with the camera outside the table. Since it most probably is convex on the back and not the front so it won't wobble face down even if it's bent. This is how they test in the store.

widespread issue. I have it on my iPhone 6 since day one (september).
I had them take off the screen and reseat and it didnt really fix it.
The way the screen is attached to the iphone, you wouldnt have to worry about the screen popping off. the screen is attached at the top of the case, with mounting brackets on the side to add sturdiness. But the points of pressure are the attachments on top, and the screws on the bottom.

Nothing to worry about.
