Hi all,
I've just replaced the screen on my iPhone 6+. I've noticed that I've broken the wire that connects the home button assembly to the backplate of the LCD. To make this easier, let's call eh home button the Female connection and the backplate ribbon the Male connection. What it looks like I've done is snapped the male connector off of the ribbon, still inside of the female connector. I've ordered a replacement flex cable for the backplate from eBay to fix it but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pry the broken part out of the female connector.
Does anyone have any tips for me or has this happened to someone else before?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Ethan.
EDIT: This is not the first screen replacement I've done but it was the first 6+ screen I've replaced. I've never had a problem when replacing screens on other generation iPhones. I'm not a noob
