Had my iPhone 6 Plus charging on the coffee table and then our Labrador's tail came wagging and I see my iPhone fly and fall flat on its face/screen on concrete. Enough force to disconnect the Lightning charger cord. I had the screen protector from the Apple Store and the black silicon case on it and it's safe!
My wife and I both chose silicon because of the shock absorption vs leather... We were able to feel both at the store and know leather is more for scratch protection then shock.
