Some sites are now listing the iPhone 6 Plus as having 2 GB RAM vs. the 1 GB RAM expected for the 6.

I'm excited because I was already planning on a 6 Plus.

My question is whether the GB of RAM would change your preference in iPhone model or if it's not relevant in your purchase decision.

I don't think they know for sure. Just guessing on rumors.

Though with the higher needs of the 6+, I think it makes sense.

But Apple doesn't often do what I think makes sense when it comes to RAM.

In one way it makes sense in terms of the additional screen real estate for adding more functionality to the apps. Also there may be a split screen option down the road for iOS 9 that may require the 2gb of memory. We will need to wait and see.

Agreed. I really hope it has 2GB.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's only 1GB but with the 1080p screen and landscape functionality it would be nice to have 2GB.

I too am hoping for this. iPad Air 2/rMini/iPhone 6+ should get 2GB of RAM. SO should the 6 but we know that it only has 1GB due to the leaked Geekbench scores.

if history is any indication, I'm betting the 6+ is at 1GB.

There is no precedent for these two phones. What history? You have no clue what your saying. I GUARANTEE the 6+ has 2 gb ram, they are doing everything but literally coming out and telling you. It's the clear flagship, everything on it is juiced up compaired to the 6.

there is no precedent? Apple never had a flagship phone? this is the first? how many times have there been RAM speculation such as the one you're making and later turned out to be false? do you sit there all day and run benchmarks and get high off of it? who cares if it has 1 or 2 or 3 so long as it runs smoothly.

weird because there's alot of tech articles stating that it is 2GB of ram. we'll have to sit and see. whether it's more than the 6 or both have upgraded 2GB, it would be a welcome addition. i'm not bothered if its still 1GB.. it's all about the experience and functionality. you can have the best spec but it sucks in real life experience.. cough samsung.

agree there. gsmarena states that 6 plus has 2gb of ram. I'm checking the other sources to confirm this
