Just read the following on Staples:

"Staples, which will sell the new iPhone next week, is also getting into the trade-in craze. Starting Sunday, Staples customers can get a minimum of $50 back when they trade-in a smartphone (a 64GB iPhone 5s in good condition can get up to $255). The company also has partnered with Verizon to give Verizon customers who trade in their old iPhone and sign a new two-year agreement a Staples gift card worth $200, which can in turn be used to buy the new iPhone 6 that starts at $199."

Has anyone pre-ordered at staples? Sounds like this could be a good option to get a phone on release day..

I imagine it will be the same as Best Buy and Radio Shack... a disaster.

Incidentally, $255 for an iPhone 5S is an insult.

Millbrae Staples

I spoke with someone at the Millbrae Staples (in California) and they will have iPhone 6 and plus available for sale to Verizon customers. The only unfortunate thing is they won't have the ability to do the Edge purchase with customers. If you don't need to purchase via the Edge program, it looks like Staples might be a good choice to check out.
