iPhone 6 release date

Not release date. 'Announcement' date... Maybe. Rumors are just rumors and pics can be altered. I'll wait for Apple to send out invites next week and know for sure.
It would be sensational if they released it on the keynote day... but it won't happen.
Because this would be the bloggers running out of the keynote before it ended.
Yep for sure. They'd have to give them each a free iPhone to keep them in the building
However, the traffic headed towards the retail outlets would be full of maniacs... like me

No way, its is final announcement date, i also feel the same way and i also really excited about iOS 8.
I try to steer clear of the iPhone forum around release for that reason, but I do actually want to talk about the next iPhone.
1. September 9 - Announcement
2. September 12 - Preorder
3. September 17 - iOS 8 Release
4. September 19 - iphone 6 launch
These are just simply my predictions, but based on what we have seen in the past, the only thing I think could be wrong would be whether they do preorders or not, since they didn't on the 5S last year.

From what I understand they underestimated how popular the iPhone 5S would be so they didn't offer pre-orders or move up upgrade dates to sort of minimize shortages, they assumed the iPhone 5c would better seller of the 2.
The iPhone 6 is gearing up to be a highly anticipated device and last i read Apple double the order from 20 millions units (iPhone 5s) to 40 millions units (40 million to be produced between now and December).
Apple is falling behind Android and I think they will do everything they can do make sure they sell as many devices as they possibly can, including allowing pre-orders.
It's really simple.
The event is on a Tuesday, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will go on sale on the following Friday.
There's no way Apple will announce and sell the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 on the same day.
