First post, so go easy.

iPhone 6 + , Silver , 16GB delivered this morning to the UK.

Returned home and the screen has a flaw at the top left of the device.

Bit disappointed - it's obvious I'll have to wait a while for a replacement. Will trek to the Trafford Centre this evening to see what they can do.

Looks almost like a crack? Is it smooth if you run your fingernail over it or can you feel it?

They crank out 540,000 of these babies a day. Can't believe there aren't more flaws like this. Sucks though OP, sorry :(

Ah that stinks. Yes I would call them asap and get the exchange process started. Good luck!

Yeah, I can't imagine I'll be only one who has this issue.

I'll get on the phone to them now - cheers for the advice !

Hubs had a flawed 4S on launch day (speakers didn't work). They told him that it'd be a minimum of 3 months before he'd get a new one if he wanted to exchange it. Hopefully you have better luck! He just went back to his 4 instead of waiting.

Exactly. I mean, with that quantity you have almost 80% of possibilities to have your phone completely broken and unusable, since those responsible for shipping look at the numbers, and decide to crack them all.

I'm not sure if this is accurate but doesn't Apple keep a few new models on hand for replacement just in case of defects? This is what I heard a while back but don't know how valid it is.

You might as well call apple to voice your displeasure and perhaps you'll get a free case or an apple tv!

Went to Trafford Centre in Manchester. Loads of lower capacity 6+ in stock.

Small flaw on the screen of my iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Grey. It looks like a very small (1/8" or less) piece of hair/eyelash/dust is under the screen in the bottom left corner. Called AppleCare right away and have a Genius Bar appointment for tomorrow afternoon. The gent on the phone said he thought they kept a small stock of replacement phones for just such occurrences. If not, assured me that Apple would make me happy. Certainly doesn't affect normal use of the phone and is only perceptible when the background is white. But still not something to expect with an hours-old phone.

La vita e cosi.
