Just to clarify, it's more of a brightness flicker and not the whole screen turning black/white - It's quite mild and not a deal breaker, but I just want to ensure that this won't turn into a bigger issue down the road and damage the screen (or backlight).

I feel like the brightness (during the wake up phase from unlock) skips around 5%-10%, if that doesn't make sense: Imagine swiping the brightness slider to the right from 0% to 100% and you notice how smooth it is right ? Mine has a small flicker (like a skip) between 70%-80%.

Anyone else has this ? I'm running 8.0.2 so not sure if it is software. My previous 6+ didn't have this issue even on 8.0.2.

I would update to the latest version of iOS and see if it persists. If it does, contact Apple and let them know the problem.

+1 o the screen flicker however it does not happen all the time but i have noticed it on a few occasions.
