iPhone 6: screen froze and slowly turned black

Hello all, need some help figuring out what happened to my phone... I was just scrolling Facebook when suddenly the screen froze and it very slowly started to dim until it became completely black. Now the phone does not respond at all. I tried hard-reset and charging it but nothing happens. the phone does not turn on. In general i'm a light user, and the phone worked great until now (no issues at all). about six months ago i had the battery replaced via apples program and since the phone worked flawlessly especially with ios 12.

Any ideas what happened? is it fixable?

I’d suggest taking it back to Apple and let them take a look at it considering they were the last ones in there..
