iPhone 6 seems out of place in Apple's lineup

Who thinks that the iPhone line-up seems a little weird now with an inexpensive A9 based 2 GB of ram iPhone at the lowest price and the middle tier being occupied by an A8 based 1 GB of ram iPhone starting at $150 more? At this point the only advantage that the iPhone 6 has is the screen size. Do you think their plan is to discontinue the 6/Plus in the fall and have the lineup include the SE, 6s/Plus and 7/Plus(or Pro)?

I would say that's a fairly reasonable assumption as to what will likely happen.
