iPhone 6 smart case issue

After charging my iPhone in the case all night it shows the iPhone fully charged but the case is only charged to 44%.

I would would have thought In approx 8 hours it would be closer to full.

I have it charging through a USB port. Maybe this is the problem. So I will try switching to an iPad charger.

This is the second smart case I've had because I exchanged the first one. It didn't seem to exhibit this problem until a few weeks after I owned it much like the current is doing now.

Are you using an official apple charging cable with the case? Since the smart battery cases are relatively new, it is going to be tough to trouble shoot this issue. But there must be a common thread if you have had it happen to 2 different cases already.
