New to T-Mobile. Just got iPhone 6. I live in one of there "advanced lte" network areas but I have yet to see any LTE come up. I can get 4G with speeds of like 1mb tops. Seems odd that I have not had LTE come up at all and on ATT had LTE almost everywhere. Any ideas?

Check your apn settings. I just got t-mobile yesterday too sand I was at 20kbps but then I googled the apn settings, put them and now it's lightning fast.
What apn settings did you use? I am using fast.t-mobile.com, which is not very fast.
That's what mine is set to and my LTE performance has been great (29.06 Mbps down/9.24 Mbps up).
Hmm. Weird. I haven't even been able to get mine to connect to lte at all. Same with wife's.
Even in their "advanced LTE" network areas, T-Mobile LTE coverage is not comparable to the LTE coverage you get AT&T and Verizon.
is this in your house??
I only get one bar of service in my house, tmo signal doesnt pentrate buildings well from what I always heard
I was only getting "4G" at first on my new iPhone 6 too, but if you toggle Airplane Mode on/off that usually does the trick. You can also try resetting the network settings and/or rebooting the phone if that doesn't work. Either way you should start getting LTE as long as you're in an area where it's available anyway.
Sorry but in southern California tmobile crushes Verizon and att. At least where I live.
Each carrier's coverage is better than the others in certain specific areas. However, overall, T-Mobile only has a small fraction of the LTE coverage of AT&T and Verizon. Of course, T-Mobile's LTE coverage may be "good enough" for many, particularly given the cost savings.
The Iphone 6 is crazy slow on tmobile.
I just switched from the Galaxy S5 which had good speed to the 6...that now takes forever just to load internet...idk

T-Mobile's LTE is great from my home on the iPhone 6. I see 40+Mbps LTE with T-Mobile on the iPhone 6. However, coverage isn't nearly as good as AT&T when driving on major highways in my area.
Who cares about "overall" unless you travel for a living? For the vast majority of us the only thing that really matters is how well it works where you live.

That's what I have been pulling lately in LTE areas too. I'm really happy with the service in my area after getting the LTE issue figured out.
