hi guys, is it normal that the Touch ID does not work when your finger is oily? I have no issues with my space grey iPad Air 2, but my iPhone is gold, so I'm wondering whether the problem could be down to the colour choice that it's not working when my finger is oily.

It's normal that TouchID won't work well if there's anything on the finger that might get in the way of recognition. The color choice shouldn't really have anything to do with it.

it doesn't work well if the finger is a bit moist/oily/has some liquid. wipe on pants, retry.
