Hi everyone,

Just wondering if the T-Mobile version is really the unlocked version, the same as the one in Canada...

Thanks!

Yes it is

Do you have a source for this? I assume it is, and I have heard many people claiming that is it fully unlocked as long as you setup the phone on iTunes without a TMo sim card in, but I'd rather be spared waiting for TMo to unlock it if it turns out that it isn't unlocked.

It should be unlocked since its full price contract free and setting up with a tmobile sim would have nothing to do with it.
You should be able to activate it right away with any sim.
You can always preorder one and if its not unlocked just return it for refund.
I know Apple is told not to advertise it as unlocked and in most cases they misinform their customers to thinking it might still be locked. They used to say that for full priced AT&T iphones but those were also unlocked right out the box.
