iPhone 6 Upgrade and Yosemite

Currently have iPhone 4S (7.1.2) and 2012 Mac Mini (Mountain Lion).

Any tips or suggestions on whether I should update the Mini to Yosemite before receiving the iPhone 6 in the mail?

I figured I'd back up the 4S on Mountain Lion, then update the Mini to Yosemite, then crank up and restore the new iPhone 6 via Yosemite. Any thoughts welcome...including that it doesn't matter!

I'd probably update the mini to Yosemite first. Separates out the changes; you can ensure everything's smooth with the mini and with backing up the phone before you're trying to bring the new phone into the mix.
