Hello,

I have an iPhone 6.
I use the aux jack a lot. Whether it be at the gym for headphones or in the car for podcasts.

However, I'm noticing that often times the volume would lower randomly!
It's not a sudden drop off in volume, but it sounds like how the volume goes lower right before Siri says something in Maps, or in Google Maps, except that it doesnt go back up until you go to settings -> sounds and alter the slider there. Then, the original volume would go back up.

I'm noticing this happens when theres a network reception change, whether it be when wifi drops off or when it switches from 3G to LTE. Not verified, just my casual observation.

Any ideas or am I the only one? Hardware fault maybe???

Thanks

I've noticed this recently when for example using TuneIn Radio or even the native music app and then switching to Facebook the audio will drop.

If I terminate Facebook the audio volume increases again.

The volume drops before a system sound is played so that your ears don't get blasted. But I find there's a bug where it doesn't always return to the original volume.
