All of a sudden the volume up key on my ip6 has stopped working. i kept pressing it along with the volume down key for a while and it started working again last night but stopped this morning. Same story works for a small while and stops again. I do not think this is a software issue as ive done all the troubleshooting steps of reboot, restore etc and the fact the volume down key is working fine makes me think its definitely a hardware problem. the phone is out of warranty.

Has anyone come across this yet? could it be a faulty switch or loose connection? i opened up the iphone but couldnt see anything out of place the button seems to be clicking fine. I know that i can just use the assistive touch to control the ringer volume but i dont like having it on the screen the whole time.

Any help much appreciated
