I recently upgrade my airport extreme to the newest version with 802.11ac.

My mini retina iPad is still faster than my iPhone 6 running speed tests.

Any thoughts? I have rest network settings a couple of times without much improvement.

iPhone 6 gets 73 Mbps where as my mini gets well over 100.

Thanks

The iPhone 6 needs to be on the 5GHz band to achieve the 802.11ac speeds.

When I got this router, I thought it would automatically set the devices to their proper channels but I had to put my 6+ on a dedicated 5GHz network to start seeing the promised speed.
