It's a general knowledge that Apple would be releasing 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones. And possibly killing 32GB version adding 128GB version to the line up. And 64GB and 128GB versions possibly gaining sapphire coated screen. 16GB 4.7" iPhone 6 at $650 ($50 more for 5.5"). I am guessing 64GB will not command $200 price premium, but at more tame $150 (or $800 for 4.7" and $850 for 5.5").

I am rather curious as to what Apple would do with lower-end iPhones. 8GB iPhone 4s will probably be replaced by 8GB iPhone 5c, probably at the same $450 price point (or $0 with 2-year contract).

It would make sense for Apple to replace iPhone 6 with iPhone 6c, essentially the same phone in a plastic shell. 16GB iPhone 6c at $550 and 32GB iPhone 6c at $650.

Huh? You mean iPhone 5 is replaced?

I don't see a 6c coming, but wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong. I think it was an experiment that didn't go as well as Apple had hoped.

:apple:

I personally don't want them to reintroduce the "C" bullcrap but it seems like they might save this for only "S" releases, maybe release iPhone 6S along with a replaced iPhone 6 for the 6C, then skip the 7C for the 7S release, for example.

The 5C was a solution to providing a cheaper 5 when the 5S was out.

So, it will be 6, 5S, and 5C, as the new lineup. The 4S gets the boot.

Think of the 5C as the iPhone 5 (which it is), because while Apple liked to tote that it was an all new device, it was just a way of maintaining their three-phone lineup.

3GS, 4, 4S
4, 4S, 5
4S, 5C, 5S
5C, 5S, 6

Now, will they put the 5S in the plastic 5C body is another question. Can they afford to sell the 5S at $100 less when the 6 comes out? I don't think they would, to be honest. I think they might end up with a 5SC type of thing, potentially, to keep their profit margins nice and high.

Just my $0.02. ;)

Yes i agree that is really an over thinking, we have to wait for iPhone 6, once iPhone 6 release then and then after we can assuming that there will be iPhone 6C, iPhone 6S or something else.

This thread does a lot in pointing out to me how the company who prides themselves with simplicity has muddied the water with their ridiculous iPhone nomenclature.

iPhone 4 was named because it was the fourth gen. Up until then this sort of made sense. Now we have a C and the numbers don't really even make sense (when considering with how/why they originated).
