mine started on 78%, ran out after 3 hours!
not worried though, charging it to 100% now and got all the downloading/indexing done so it should be ok

That seems really bad. Hopefully it will improve after the battery conditions after a few cycles.
I had 7 hours of usage from a 75% charge, including setup, indexing and testing etc.
I've never experienced lag on my 6 plus. I wonder how many actually have, rather than just spewing crap they have heard from others?
Constant lag on my 6+ when scrolling image heavy webpages, switching apps... the list goes on. It's gotten a little better on 9.0.1, but is still noticeable. I personally just hate the app refreshes, and hope the 6S can perform more like my Air 2.
But, back on topic I would like to see more people's performance and battery life impressions for the 6S.
The struggle is real, I experience it all the time. Even before I knew it was a "thing" I was annoyed.
I had the exact same thing on both of my iPhone 6S 128GB. Especially app switcher, app switching, and even the normal switching pages on the home screen was laggy (certainly noticeable when doing it slowly).
I've configured both with my iCloud backup from the iPhone 6, so I decided to restore them as a clean phone without using backups and they are smooth now, just like it should be.
