I thought this was odd. Rushing some test exposures on my iPhone 6s, I noticed that all jpegs taken with third party cameras (at full size) average 5mb. Those taken with the built-in camera average 2mb. Why boost the camera to 12 megapixels and then start crapping down the exposures to keep file size down? I usually shoot TIFF anyway, but again find this very odd.
