Hey Folks,
I got my new new 6S+ and noticed that when talking on the phone, I noticed some mild crackling as though the earpiece speaker (not the speaker at the bottom of the phone) is damaged. It goes away if I turn the volume down to about 70% or if the person on the other end of the line speaks at a normal volume. This occurs bother with love voice calls or when listening to voicemail especially if the calling party is speaking loudly.
This was rarely and issue with my 6. The 6S+ does have very nice clarity especially on T-Mobile's HD Voice network. It actually has more bass vs my 6, which adds some warmth to the other party's voice, like an old fashion landline.
I also noted that some 6+ owner's complaining about similar issues last year and even exchanging phones made little difference.
Thanks in advance for any input.
PS.
The volume level on the new 6S+ is much louder at the highest setting. My wife has my old 6 and the full volume is only about 70% on my new phone. Maybe that is related to this issue.
