one thing that isn't being talked about much is the new glass on the front of the new iPhones.

Is it just stronger to prevent cracking when dropped? Or as well as this are we going to see more scratch resistance in the new material?
 
Not sure, however since they didn't mention anything about the glass, perhaps it's possible that the glass is the same as the iPhone 6 or a newer version of gorilla glass.

They actually did mention the glass.

Apple Website said:
