So, I have an iPhone 6S+ and an iPad Pro. In settings/photos/iCloud photo library, it's turned on in my ipad, but off in my phone. I take pictures with my phone and they don't transfer to my ipad. So, I go to turn on the iCloud Photo Library in my phone and it says it's going to delete all 5790 photos! NO!!!! So, how do I get them to talk to each other? And I'll need step by step, this one seems to have me a bit perplexed.

If you got Apple Care + with your iPhone then you should still be covered, so I would call them on this. You don't want to take a chance on losing all your photos. Apple Care + covers you for 2 years and comes with tech support and this is something I would rather have them help me sort out then anonymous people on an Internet forum, no matter how good it is.

Another thing you can do is download all your photos to your computer using your lightning connector. This way they are safe. The Apple tech would, most likely, have you do this to start with as well.

Good luck.
