iPhone 6s not charging when iMac is sleeping

I just bought an iPhone 6s. I set it up, restored from backup, activated it, then plugged it into my iMac. It started charging as expected. Then I put the iMac to sleep. I woke up this morning and it is at 65% charge. It was plugged in correctly, the same way my iPhone 6 was plugged in and charged every night, even when my iMac was sleeping.

Any ideas?
