I got an exchanged iPhone 6s Plus 2 months ago. Worked without any problem.
Changed nothing and using iOS 10.3.3
Today when playing clash Royale over LTE my phone got so hot that I almost burned my hand. Lost in some minutes 10-15% battery.

This does not happen when using WLAN. I made complete clean install in DFU mode but still when LTE is on the iPhone gets hot

I guess I should get a new one right?

If your iPhone gets above 113F it will shut off on its own, above 102F, it will dim the screen, weaken cellular connectivity, stop charging and disable camera flash. So while I highly doubt it got hot enough to almost burn your hand, if it is getting hot to the touch, you should take it in so Apple can run diagnostics.

There are a bunch of possible reasons why the phone could spike in temperature. Playing a game while on LTE and low cellular service will increase the temperature of the device. If you are doing this outside where its a warm ambient temperature, it will increase the speed at which the device heats up.

Did it and I found out that when I’m playing Clash Royale over LTE it still happens. Other stuff is fine. Never had problems with this game before.

What to do? Or is this game using resources that may occure a hardware problem?

I would say your game is very CPU intensive and causing your phone to get warm, not hot enough to burn your hand like you are claiming. For a phone to get hot enough to burn your hand it would deplete the battery pretty quickly and shut itself down.

Well at least it got very warm. Maybe I used wrong word with burn. But it got really hot.
But it did this behavior never before so what to do?

Other graphical intense games work without getting that warm.

Very warm and hot enough to burn your hand are two different things. It could be your game code is written poorly and causing your phone to get warm. I suggest you find another game to play or only play this particular game when needing a hand warmer.

I know this seems like a huge problem in your life but one day you will look back and realize it is just a game on a phone.

Relax and enjoy!

For sure it’s just a game. I’m
More shocked that it has happened without any change and thought my phone is ****ed.
