Anyone else notice this issue? I usually have my iPhone 6s Plus on my desk at work on vibrate, I've been noticing I've been missing my text messages because I can't hear the vibration. Never had this issue with the iPhone 6 vibration motor.

By design. I don't know if you have a faulty one (I don't know how "soft" yours is) but mine is great now. Much prefer it over the old one.

I'll have to go to my local apple store and compare, but I currently have the phone flat on my desk and messing with the different vibrations under sound and I can't hear any of them. It's crazy how soft this vibration is, I'm missing my text messages and emails.

The idea is to not be able to hear the vibration. I know people have gotten used to using it as a ringtone more or less, but now "silent" mode is truly silent. It might take some getting used to if you have been using the vibrate as a ringtone. Maybe try leaving the ringer on but just lower the ringer volume when leaving it on a desk.

The dead silence of the vibration is something I'll have to get used to. I don't like audible alerts or ringtones so I usually rely on the loud vibration for alerts. But now its so quiet and the vibrate is so light that I've missed several calls and texts.

People out here aren't going to be nice about this topic but I know what you're talking about and for me I'll just have to start learning how to use ringtones and obnoxious alerts. Thats the cost of progress I guess.

You people are complaining about missing calls and text. Turn your ringer ON.

I can't tell you how much I hated the previous loud vibrating noise when I plugged the phone in at work.

I think it's a great improvement. Used to be able to hear my phone vibrate across the office. Kinds of defeats the purpose of silent.

Agreed, I now no longer have to shield the phone to prevent the noise of plugging it in waking my wife up! She's a fairly light sleeper, so it was really annoying that the 6/6 Plus was so loud. 6s/6s Plus is a great improvement.

If people miss the noise so much, somebody should get on with making a vibration ringtone.

6S plus Taptic Engine looks a lot smaller than 6s. Not surprised..
