iPhone 6S plus to iPhone 7 plus will be a bigger update than the 3GS to 4

monstrous update even better than the 5S to 6

The 8 will just have new design and OLED... That's it besides quad core.
The 7 is improved in everyway.
 
No way it seems just like a regular update nothing new beside the dual camera (Booooring),2017 maybe a bigger update with oled screen and all new design
 
S phones are special .. there is nothing special on iPhone 7 waiting for 7s

thats a pretty good upgrade to me. It's just design wise it isn't changing.

"Monstrous update?" Must be a joke. Two year old design with minor updates. Not even close to a monstrous update.

Yeah, with the 7 keeping "essentially" the same exterior design, it's really more like a 6ss. If the rumors are correct that the iPhone 8....with an all new design....will be out in 2017, I guess there will be no 7s.

Personally, I'm bored with the 6(ish) exterior design, but I'm also ready to dump my 6plus and its 1GB ram (it's getting slow)! Lots of options I guess. I could wait for a good sale and pick up a cheap SE, or buy a used 6s (I'm sure they'll be flooding the market soon)....and limp along for a year till the 8 and a nice fresh design.

Buy an 6s,6s plus or SE. I have the SE and its a great phone .

The problem is that design is the biggest thing holding the 6s back. It's arguably apple's worst design ever: giant bezels, ugly antenna lines (which are getting moved, not eliminated), that awful camera bump, and worst of all, the soap-bar design that seems almost designed to make you buy a case so you can keep a good grip on it.

I don't need a new design for new's sake - I have an SE, and it doesn't bother me a bit that it's a 2012 design, because it's a good design. But the 6/6s isn't.
 
The only thing on the 7 Plus that would tempt me to move up from 6S Plus would be 256GB, but I've got a 256GB iPad Pro, so not as much desire to match that capacity on my phone.

Plus, I just purchased a very expensive DSLR, so I'm covered on the camera already.

6+ performance was horrible. 6S+ performance has been terrific, so I have a much less desire to move up.
 
I'm going to try to get gold this year. I wanted the 6 and 6s plus in gold but I couldn't get it. I had to get space grey and silver. So if I get gold it will be like getting a new design lol I'm over rose gold after owning the pink gold S7 edge.
