I'll make this quick. I just picked mine up today, and I've been using it for a few hours.
Notable improvements:
1) TouchID works instantly every. single. time. Even with sweaty fingers or chapped ones. This is what TouchID should've been, but never was. This makes the upgrade from the 6 Plus worth it to me.
2) Speed. This is the fastest, most fluid iPhone I have ever experienced. Not a single ounce of lag throughout the entire OS. It makes a big usability improvement. As for wireless— on a fiber line over an 802.11ac connection, setting up and installing all of my applications from scratch took a fraction of past times.
3) I am actually intrigued by Force Touch, and I have already found it to be timesaving in Apple apps, and I'm excited to see what developers do with it from here out.
4) Higher camera resolution is welcome in the day and age of high resolution screens.
Notable downsides:
1) This phone gets really, really hot.
2) Apple Financing is confusing. The employee told me I would walk out of the store without paying a dime, and then promptly charged my credit card $150. I'm considering just scrapping the finance plan and buying the phone full price.
