I am Italian but I will be in America until the end of October, guest at a friend's house .. I wanted to know if the preorder of the new iPhone 6s is bound to an operator or is SIM free ..

If you buy the 'Verizon' version of the phone it comes completely unlocked.

If you there until the end of October why not just walk into an Apple store and buy one SIM free.

If I buy the Verizon version, is there something different about network(in europe)? Is it SIM free?

I'm pretty sure you need a Verizon account in order to pre order the Verizon model. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only phone you can pay full price for without carrier details is T-Mobile.
