So the only answer I need as of right now is how long until the Sim Free version of the iPhone 6s comes out? I don't carry any of those four major carriers but I do want the phone. How long is this going to take because I want it soon, haha.

All but the AT&T model are the unlocked version if you pay full price for the phone. Just pop out the included SIM and have it. I'm using my US "T-Mobile" iPhone in Italy to type this. Same deal with "Verizon/Sprint" phones. You want model number A1688 / MKT82LL/A.
the sim free model is the AT&T model. A1633 for the 6S so thats the one you want.
Actually AT&T models are unlocked if purchased full price directly from Apple store. It is locked if you purchase full from the AT&T store and you have to request an unlock.
I do not agree. The AT&T model includes LTE band 30 and has reduced CDMA support, as documented by other replies in this thread. I'm not sure why people who don't own the phone are so sure of what they "know". I'm typing in the flipping phone now.
Just because you are typing on it doesn't mean you know whether it supports CDMA or not. My understanding is the AT&T model does support CDMA, but I'm mostly going off what I read here.
What are you talking about? My att phone works just fine with Verizon and was unlocked upon activation
Dude, Look on Apples website. The Sim free model is A1633 and says it can be activated on all GSM/ CDMA carriers. Why should Apple release a sim free iPhone with reduced CDMA? LOL. And 1633 is the ATT model so they are the same.
Ummm, where are you getting that the AT&T Model has reduced CDMA support?

Been trying to get my hands on one from two different apple stores since 8am this morning. All SIM free plus models were available right at 8, but my appleid wouldn't work (later found out the password expired). Used a family members instead and the reservation was already taken.
Need to exchange my launch day 6s+ (T-Mobile) because of real screen issues (not the brightness bs). Return period is quickly escaping, I hope they're lenient.
If you got it on your launch day. 9/9 should be the last day to return. You can try returning it today and see if they allow it. I know some are lenient and some aren't so it depends on who you get for the sales specialist.

Just exchanged my T-Mobile 6s Plus for a sim free one at the Apple Store because of some dead pixels and the lack of band 30. Make sure you make a reservation if you're expecting to buy one because the Apple Store has very little. One showed up at my store at 11:30 and I snatched it.
