I certainly wanted to know but I do not think there was any review that came out in the last few days even touching upon the sound quality. You'd think with how many people listen to music with their iPhone it would have at least been mentioned by someone.

No matter, I will judge myself in an hour. :)

Listening with earphones was fine, I had the volume at about 50% for what I tried and it was plenty loud enough with my Sony buds. Sound quality was very good.

Cannot try from the speaker without earphones cause I am not in a quiet secluded environment yet today and it would distract people. Will try later.

I wondered that was well. Its weird how none of the reviews I've seen mentioned speaker sound at all.

do you guys hear any distortion when sending a text/imessage? that sound distorted towards the end. using max volume.

Call quality sounds muffled on my 6S plus. My iPhone 6 plus sounds better not impressed with the call quality so far. Need more testing tho

Not sure what you guys are talking about. I'm listening on an iPhone 6s (vs 6 Plus) and the sound is surprisingly half-decent. Comparing the two the 6s is definitely more listenable. More definition in the treble, and good bass response for a speaker of this size. Mids are clear as well, and some finer details I've been able to pick up on over the 6 +.

Very much a refined, more listenable speaker over the 6.

My 6s sound quality seems to be on par with my old 6 plus including the "loudness" of the speaker.

I like sound of my 6+ speaker better than 6s+ after run the test play with few songs

Speakerphone quality was improved when I contacted Verizon today. Testing the headphone jack now. Noticing some more accurate punch to bass. Using Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 for testing. Will run my ie80s later to test better for more refined sound.

That's a bummer because the warm tone of the 6+ speaker was my favourite part of the phone. Hands down the best speaker on any phone I've owned.

the speaker sucks. makes me miss the Moto X Pure or Nexus 6. Those front facing dual speakers vs this mono speaker crap.

I don't know what going on 6s+, 6+ are just so pleasant to listening to music with or without headphone .
Going try to restore 6s+ see it help .
I might just forget about it once i sell the 6+ ...

Note: I use EQ -Rock on both iPhone during the test

You seem to be confusing quality with quantity. Two speakers are good, yes, but not if they sound worse than one. Loud volume is good too, but only if the quality is right. The 6+ speaker has a much more pleasing tone to my ears than the HTC One M8/M9 and the Nexus 6.

Comparing side by side there is definitely more presence in the treble and bass, and overall a bit more clarity in the 6s (again, vs 6 +).

Ugh, the less treble the better. So it sounds brighter overall and more shrill on certain tracks?
