Hi my iPhone 6s Touch ID seems to have gotten worse
When I first got it it was blisteringly fast but since updating to 9.1 it now takes 3 seconds to unlock.
I've tried .....
Restoring
Restoring with no back up and starting fresh
Adding my print 5 times
If I reboot it works perfect but later on it'll **** the bed again.

Anyone have the same prob?
Anything else I can try before I take it to Apple.

Thanks.

I think they slowed it down in 9.1 as people were complaining it was too fast and they didn't have time to read their on screen notifications. However, not by 3 seconds. Why don't you delete a few of the finger prints you have now and redo them and see if that speeds it up.

Mine definitely slowed down. Still faster than my 6+ though.

It seems lightning fast to me, but I always had my 6S+ on iOS 9.1, is there a comparison video available?

Same here, no difference with 9.1 either, the only way to view my lock screen without accidentally logging in is to either use the side button or a finger it doesn't recognize.

They changed something in 9.1.
I would reach and pick up my 6S+ and just casual contact from a "correct" finger would unlock it. It go so I seld saw the lock screen.
With 9.1 this happens a lot less. Might be my handling improved too.

I don't think they decreased it any considering you can press the power button if you really wanted to see your notifications on your lockscreen.

well turns out it is slow for me because my thumb is simply too sweaty. After washing my hands it's super fast. Problem is my hands are more often sweaty than not.

It's instant for me every time.

Also to those who complain about that, just use another finger, it won't unlock and you can see the time and notifications.
