Anyone else have this? Its sounds like a piercing noise coming from my pocket. Ill upload a video tomorrow but I've never owned an iPhone that did this before.

Worth noting that the iPhone 6S has a Taptic engine which is more powerful and firm than previous models. The whole feel of it is strangely different but in a good way. This may be why you think it's loud but at the same time find that it's a fairly solid piece. If you think that something is maybe loose or somehow not quite right then you should take a trip to the genius bar but do consider that you might just not be used to the new piece.

I have the opposite problem, my 6S vibrate is really light, especially the little taptic acknowledgement of 3D Touch compared to some display models I played with. I have to keep my phone off silent, as I don't feel or hear the vibrations for notifications. I wish it could be adjusted in the settings.

My phone is flawless other than that, so I'm not gonna risk returning it.

Let me clarify. The vibrate itself is fine. It's the noise it makes. Sounds like a ringtone it's so loud. But the actual vibrate feeling is good. Understand ? Lol

I believe you phine has a loose Taptic Engine. I think a few other have reported "loud" Taptic motors and they replaced or repaired the device. I use mine seldom but it vibrates better than my 6+ but is very quiet.

Wow I def don't want a replacement as everything else is awesome. Bummer

This is how mine sounds.

I'm not replacing it as I always have vibrate off. But how do I turn vibrate off for the 3D Touch ?

Shakes head, I don't get people. One person in another thread replaced four good phones till fifth one had chip he wants but not his memory choice. While here a person with loose Taptic Engine won't get defective phone replaced. BIG HEAD PALM

Is it the schools, something in the drinking water, too much faux news, looking for an explanation for the rise in suspension of critical thinking.

Welcome to macrumors

My vibrate sounds awesome, a deep thudding but nowhere near as noisy or cheap sounding as previous phones. I can still hear it though, and until someone devises a completely silent vibrate feature I refuse to use them.

That sounds just like the pagers we have at work. If you want to keep it that's your choice. If it were mine, I'd have it replaced while I could still get a brand new one.

One of the reason that i moved to iphone from android is the firm solid vibrate.
