iOS 13 on IPhone 7 , cycles through the Apple screen only. My goal is to not lose all my data as it’s been some time since backup. Tried Recovery Mode, plugged into my Mac to update the OS - but it gives me a warning that I must Restore from scratch rather than update the phone. That said, it still does let me *try* to update rather than restore; but errors out every time after about 25% progress bar on the iPhone itself when the update tries to install.
I think this (and the boot loop itself) may be due to lack of storage space; I think I had about 300mb free, and in fact I was using Mac ImageCapture to get all my pics off the phone when it suddenly disconnected from the Mac, and the phone was extremely buggy in operation. That’s when I restarted it and got in the loop.
So my final question - will either Reiboot or Imyphone fix this or will the lack of storage likely cause them to fail? Hoping someone can help before I drop $40 on a possible scam or ineffective fix, since the free versions don’t actually update iOS. Would these be effective tools, or am I stuck restoring from scratch like my Mac recommends?
EDIT: The phone now only powers on into recovery mode; no clue if that makes a difference to any of the above.
