is demand not high this year? Just preordered black 128 gb (over 24 hours since preordering opened) and am still getting it next Friday.

First time I preordered so wondering if it's always like this.

yeah i think that the demand was slightly less than normal and I think that the matte black was the one that got mass produced. just my theory though.

Oh... yeah just the 7... definitely less demand for the smaller format phone

All the 7's are still sitting because everyone of course went for the Plus....how could you not with the new camera....

I preordered the black 128GB 38 minutes after preorders open and mine says 2-3 weeks for delivery.

You sure about your color/capacity selection there?

Edit: Oops. Nevermind. I went for the plus.

Color, carrier, where did you preorder

I really want to like the plus but it is just to big for daily use. so reg iPhone and iPad pro for me.

I can understand that, I am using this 6 right now and I actually like the smaller size but the battery life, 1080 screen is what makes the decision easy for me. But I am really liking the form factor of the 6.

It's just too damn big to use with one hand, which is what I want from a cell phone. Now, if they can keep the large screen and reduce the overall footprint next year, I'd be all about it.

Matte black, 128 gb, Verizon...used the apple store app on my phone to preorder.

Yeah they need to cut down the bezel size, thats what makes the Plus so huge. It is a large phone but I don't mind not being able to use it with one hand...

I have a Note 3 from 2013, so I definitely understand going for the bigger screen, but when I played with a 6s in store I realized that my phone is actually a bit too big and the 4.7 inch size works fine. It's hard to one hand text and is just a bit awkward. The new camera is a non-issue for me. I doubt I would see any real world benefits between the two. Anyway, the bokeh thing comes later as a software update *shrug*

But to the OP, yeah I think they just produced more of the 4.7 inch phone. Can't speak to the real demand.
