I compared my iP7 flash to my iP6s flash and it seems its weaker. Can anyone do a similar comparison? whats interesting is when I compare flash lights, the iP7 is brighter.

The 7 pictures seem to have more details, which implies the flash is doing its job? It's not always meant to just add a brighter screen. The 6 seems more washed out in the color range

A picture of a white wall with automatic exposure will always come out grey. It looks like the iP7 has more accurate exposure. The iP6 is overexposing. There is no way to compare the strength of the flash without looking at all the camera settings.

somewhat true but it's also creating a strong vignette. I just wouldn't expect apple to reduce the output like this. Hopefully someone can do a similar comparison so I don't have go thru the effort of buying another phone and doing a comparison and returning one.

Just turn the flashlight on and see. That's probably why they added 3 intensity settings using 3D Touch.

I did say in my first post the flash light is brighter on the 7. If someone can do a comparison, at least that would help confirm that apple did in fact reduce the brightness for flash photography to help reduce hot spots, but then gain stronger vignetting.
