Iphone 7 froze up & Live photos not working

Was messing with my phone and all of a sudden nothing would work.
I was totally froze on the home screen no matter what I pushed nothing what happen.
I held power button and nothing did a power and home reset nothing.
And then my password screen popped up I entered my password and it was fine again.
I use touch id to unlock.
So it must of restarted without shutting down some how.
idk anyone else have this happen.

Also live photos will not work on home screen only the lock screen.
This didn't just happen the live photos on home screen never worked.

Not sure I understand your live photos issue but my 7 has suddenly gone black, then to the twirling white circle, then to the passcode/touchid screen, 3 or 4 times since Friday. I'm just chalking it up to bugs with iOS 10 & the 7. They will get worked out soon.
