Anyone seen this, seems if the iPhone 7 is bent too much the screen separates from the glue?

Let's ask Bill Gates but adhesive is probably common across most phones.

Think more along the lines that if the phone gets hot, the screen could separate if kept in a pocket?

Why would you bend your phone? I've got an iPhone 6+ and it's never subjected to stress like this. I mean, what scenario is bending a phone like this considered normal?

Simulating the stress in your front or back pocket. Core abdominal muscles are strong plus upper body weight when bending over to tie shoe laces for example.

Yup, I just don't remember seeing an iPhone where the screen separates under any kind of stress.

I don't wear huge baggy pants and I've NEVER had a situation where bending over to tie my shoes put enough stress on my 6+ to bend it.

If you don't bend your phone, it won't bend.

Ok, if you are still not convinced a drop test was done on the 7. Guess what? The display popped out!

Making youtube videos to show how phones bend comes to mind.

What exactly are we supposed to be convinced about.

The thread started with the shocking revelation that bending the phone could separate the screen from the body, then moved onto concerns that the presence of glue (how dare they use glue inside my expensive gadget) meant that the screen could separate from the heat in your pocket, and now we've moved onto trying to "convince" us that the screen could pop out if the phone is dropped.

Seriously......what are we trying to prove?

Whats really interesting about this is the camera glass on the 7 breaks and doesnt on the 6s. The 6s has sapphire. I think this helps confirm the other video that we've been switched to glass on the 7. No more sapphire in a cost cutting move and apple is lying to customers.

The display popped out on the 6s not the 7. The 7 even survived drop tests from 10 feet without any harm to the display -> REALLY IMPRESSIVE!

That is no proof. Sapphire is harder to scratch and easier to crack than glass. In another thread a guy called rig... did scratch tests and the camera cover was scratched with things softer than sapphire - but same result on the 6s.

Keep in mind that the lens on prior phones were not part of the body. They sat above it. The 7 lens is part of the aluminum body. So any flex, will transfer to it.
