iPhone 7 Hissgate Replacement - Fixed!

Hey guys - some good news.

Original order: iPhone 7+ JB 256GB 09/09/16 - Delivered on 03/10/16

iPhone arrived with a ridge cut look around the screen (where the screen separates from the casing) and also arrived with the hissing issue. The hissing was constant but got louder under load. Called Apple who arranged a replacement.

Replacement order: 11/10/16 - Delivered on 26/10/16

New iPhone has no ridge cut look and I can't hear the slightest of sounds from the back of the device no matter what I do (gaming etc) - totally silent!

thats good everything worked. out. i have a 6s but i got it replaced yesterday, i was gonna see the jet black one but they removed them from the display tables so =/
 
Whats the build date? And manufacturer? Serial number starts from f2l? And s?

Serial starts F2LS. Manufacturer is obviously Apple?

How is your screen @shez? I sent my 7+ Gold 128GB back because of uneven screen. This week the replacement should arrive (it's also a week 43, I've already got a mail with the serial). Hope the phone and screen are good and without issues.
 
for the record almost every single screen i have seen on 7+ has yellow tinge on bottom right side. doesn't look that bad to me.

Both the original and replacement phones had immaculate screens. The replacement one has no issues whatsoever touch wood!

Thought there is 2 his songs? Back of the phone... and video recording in a quiet room/ environment? I only have the video noise and not the back of the phone.

Same goes with editing video no noise. Just in the recording there is.

You are correct, it is 2 separate issues.

Still playing the lottery aye? Let me know how this one is.

I've still got my original JB 4.7 with the upper left pinkish tinge on whites and has the bottom slightly lighter/brighter yellowish tinge just above the home button and it stretches from left to right about 2 inches. The LED lights are on the bottom now. Maybe this has something to do with it? If you leave your phone on max brightness for about 5-10 mins then feel at the bottom of the screen and you'll notice it's much warmer than the top. On my regular 6 it would get warm on the top... and the yellowing problems were mostly at the top of the 6!!!! Why don't they just put LED's in the top and bottom so we can have an evenly lit screen!?!?

Anyways I'm trying to live with it but the pink drives me nuts but I don't want to play the screen lottery till I know my odds are better of getting a "good" screen!! I might just wait till a month before the warranty ends. Oh and I have that ticking noise in my videos when recording. Sounds like some people don't have the ticking in their videos or microphone anymore. Still I worry about getting one with something worse. Ay yi yi.
 
Got my replacement 7+ today and I think the screen is ...can't see any pinkish tint, no yellow and the brightness is even better than of my 6 imo. Only thing is that one hears this little 'piiiiieeeeeep' if putting the ear on the camera. But if it does not get louder than that it's absolutely okay for me.

Btw it's a week 43 device.

Cool. Even on lower brightness? Might take you a day and night or two till your eyes adjust too pick out anything. Hopefully you don't find anything though!!! That gives me hope of finding one with an even screen.

Mine peeps too but it makes this ticking sound that's louder and sounds like a sprinkler going around and you can hear it in quiet videos.

Mine is a week 41. No issues with hissing or any other reported problems. It seems, week 40 and beyond are reporting positive feedback.
 
That's good to know, thanks for creating this thread and sharing this information with us! The issue seems to have been solved (for most iPhones 7). As far as I could understand, the majority of 42nd-43rd week phones is good and has no noticeable hissing. This might be the right time to finally order the new iPhone.

Just turned on my week 40 replacement which I received today. Completely silent when I put my ear to it, but the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' noise on videos is just as loud as ever. And the top right hand corner of the display is noticeably darker on a white screen.

Cue Wheel of Fortune bankrupt soundbite.

im also interested to buy iphone 7, its released on 7 oct in india,
do you think i should wait more? is there change of bad batch is still on?
