iPhone 7 iBeacon support?

I was comparing the "Tech Specs" today on the Apple web site, and the iPhone 7 doesn't list "iBeacon microlocation" like the 6s does. Did they drop support, or is it just implied since the iPhone 7 supports BlueTooth 4.2?

iPhone 7 "Location":
  • Assisted GPS and GLONASS
  • Digital compass
  • Wi-Fi
  • Cellular

iPhone 6s "Location":
  • Assisted GPS and GLONASS
  • Digital compass
  • Wi‑Fi
  • Cellular
  • iBeacon microlocation
