So I'm slightly confused.
I received my 7+ a few days ago and in the Software Update section in settings it says the phone is up to date and in the About section it says the phone is running iOS10.1.1.

I've just plugged it into iTunes (not even for the first time because I put loads of music on it on day 1), and it's now downloading a software update 10.1.1???

Why?

Sounds weird. You have to give it the ok to my knowledge

I've agreed to start the download, because I want the latest iOS.
Even on iTunes it says iPhone 7, 10.1.1 even though it's now downloading the 10.1.1 update?!?

Its OK, apple released new build of 10.1.1 which is only via itunes....

It's finally downloaded and when I come to install on my device I get a pop up:

"The iPhone "iPhone" could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (4000).".

Getting a bit sick of this device, especially after waiting 2 months for Vodafone to delivery it.

Never had a problem with my 6+. This is a joke. That and my wifi keeps dropping, my headphone controls are temperamental and I can't google access data while on a voice call.
What has happened...

Are you getting sick of the device because it was late or because you're getting the 4000 error. Did you have any other issues with the device?

I've had a few:

My wifi always drops often.
My FaceTime audios take an age to connect.
I can't use data on safari while on a voice call.
My push notifications are extremely delayed.
My headphone controls stop working after a while.
And a few other little things.

Non of which I ever experienced on my 6+ :(

Categorically the voice and data issue is not down to the phone.
