Has Apple reached a partial limit to innovation?
I know that the camera will be improved with 4K and other things and a higher resolution screen. But what might be something truly amazing for it? The iPhone 7 is going to have the 10th version of iOS and it's going to be 2016 technology. Making it thinner won't be a good idea for the battery and camera.

Improving the display resolution wouldnt be good for battery either...
More gpu
More backlight to drive through smaller pixels
 
It seems like the devices are more than powerful enough at this point and there's not much point in increasing the resolution. More RAM might be nice. I think we'll see the software getting more sophisticated and start to really eat away at the average person's need for a traditional "computer".
