I have a new JBL Charge 3 which I leave plugged in. It drops into standby after a period of inactivity, and my iPhone 7 reverts to its own speaker. When I'm ready to use it again, I press its power button, and the iPhone automatically reconnects. This is all good.
The problem is that when the JBL is in standby, and I try to use the microphone, say, to dictate a note or use Siri, the iPhone reconnects to the JBL for the duration of the mic usage. The only way to prevent this is to turn off Bluetooth on the phone or power the speaker down.
Of course, I verified the Control Center audio output is set to "iPhone," but that doesn't stop the switching during mic usage. Any ideas how to control the input?
ETA: Never mind; answer here:
