iPhone 7 matte black discoloration on lightning port

i noticed on the iPhone's 7 on demo at the apple store that there is already a big discoloration on the lightning port ring at the bottom... it seems it becomes more silver... it has lost the black coating...

did you notice it? do you have the problem?

I haven't noticed it yet, but the port is quite tight I find.

It's a high traffic region because we charge our phones every day. It's bound to happen. My case surrounds the lightning port well so it is not noticeable.
