iPhone 7 plus aluminum chipping

Anyone notice this on their 7/7+? My phone has been in a case since day one and I was surprised to find some chipping on the section of the housing surrounding the camera module.

I initially had a jelly case that covered the entire camera bump except for the very lens itself, I'm speculating dust probably got trapped

in there and worked its way through.

It's pretty common to have slight chips in that area for some reason.

Probably because it's a bump and not flush with the phone.

It could came from slight abrasions or contact with other personal items, like car/house keys, paper clip etc or debris in your bag and pocket pants. Chipping is common on any painted metal. And that particular area is unprotected. Too small to notice for the naked eyes, unless you magnify like in this pic. Use full cover such as made by "Otter" but it become bulky and ugly, but it can take a beating.
