Just wanted to give everyone my brief thoughts on my cases:
Spigen Liquid Armor: This is my go to case at the moment. Really like the fit and the added texture. Only downfall so far is that it doesn't play perfect with E2E Screen Protectors.

Caudabe Sheath: Just arrived today so just initial impressions. Even thinner than the liquid armor but no added texture. Seams along the sides from the production molds.

Evolutive Labs Play Proof: Waiting on its arrival!

I also have:
Evolutive Labs Crashguard: very, very, very tight fight. Had troubles getting it on successfully with a D Brands skin. With the skin off it fits great, gives great protection and plays nice with Screen Protectors. In my opinion was a little slick and bulkier then I prefer, also thought the curve from front to back made the button presses a bit odd.

Incipio Dual Pro: Adds a lot of weight. Gives good protection and plays nice with Screen Protectors.

How does the Sheath play with E2E screen protectors? Is it a curved protector or a 2.5D (case friendly) one? Any photos, please?

The Sheath is not friendly at all to the Curved Screen Protector. I will try to confiscate my wives phone to get some pics today.

Don't have the Liquid Armor, but was waiting for the Caudabe Sheath for a while and finally got it. Pretty impressed. It's even better than the one I had for my 6S Plus. The texture is much nicer than my last one and I love the precise camera/flash holes. The lip is also nicely rounded and feels good. Overall just a really clean look (I got the black). Simple but classy. Thinness is thicker than my old Veil XT but still really thin. Good compromise IMO as it still offers protective value. I dropped the 6s Plus many times and it did really well. Plus the case itself never had so much as a scratch. This one feels like it'll hold up just as well on my 7 Plus.

I just ordered this the other day for my JetBlack Plus. How is the grip? Does it have a matte type finish?

I apologize ahead of time, using a 10 year old point and shoot.

Caudabe Synthesis is now available. Is that any good?

I doubt anyone will have one as yet, they only just went up yesterday for sale.

I've ordered one, but it hasn't shipped as yet and I am in Australia so I expect it will take a few weeks for my package to get here. I ordered based on the pictures on the Caudabe website and reviews of the 6S Plus model. I also grabbed the the SHEATH as it has had really good feedback so far. The SYNTHESIS for the iPhone 7/7 Plus has more front lip than the 6S Plus model, so should be better for lay on the table design and using a tempered glass screen protector.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post these pics! What screen protector are you using with it? 3D curved edge one?

@ Dkrcubsfan - I have a bunch of cases for my 7 plus - Rhinoshield CrashGuard, UAG Plasma, Spigen thin fit (Black), Spigen Liquid crystal (space crystal), Incipio feather, Caudabe Veil XT.
Rhinoshield Playproof is on order.

Of my collection, I hardly use the CrashGuard, as it's just too bulky. My Veil XT now has a dent from removing it from my 7 plus - I do not recommend the XT if you switch cases often.

If I'm outdoors a lot, I switch to the UAG Plasma, which is stylish and offers 11 foot drop protection

Based on your assessment, I picked up the Spigen Liquid Armor - Loving it! This one is a good compromise between drop protection, weight, looks and usability.

Caudabe Sheath feels slippery when my hands are dry. Similar to Apple leather cases.

Darn, cause I think it feels good in the hand. I'm still waffling between it and the Ringke Slim. Both are similar in size. Although I think the Sheath looks slightly better because it doesn't have the cut outs. But the Ringke has the advantage in grip department.

Agree very much. Already started the refund process. The feel is just not good and feels cheap plasticy in my opinion.

What I have on right now is the Orzly. Until I find a better one at least. Not horrible but the Touch ID cutout is sharper than others I've felt.

Definitely my favorite case right now. Love the fit and texture. Only things I would change if I were creating my own case would be to make it have individual speaker hole cutouts, make it more screen protector friendly, and to remove the branding lol.

Only the Ringke black version has grip (same with Spigen's thin fit models). If you want a slim hard case like Ringke slim with grip and non-black options, try the Incipio Feather. However, keep in mind that the reason Spigen and Ringke don't offer grippy non-black versions is because they show dirt from wear and tear over time.

Here's my review of the new PlayProof for iPhone 7 Plus. They just have the solid colors available now (black, white, pink, blue and powder blue), but the custom versions will be available soon:

Hi Kristin,

Thx for the review. I'm disappointed to hear that it is slippery. I ordered this after seeing the words "enhanced grip" on their product page.

Cheers,

Sabesh.

It feels exactly as slippery as the iPhone 6s Plus PlayProof did. I think they may have materials constraints affecting how grippy they can make their cases. Maybe that extra special, 11 ft drop protecting polymer that they are using is just naturally slippery and they can't do anything about it. It's still a great case, though. Very nicely made and super slim...

Hello kristin,

Thank you very much for the review about the playproof for iPhone 7. I am really happy to see the first on hands video, and i am happy that it is the same material like the iPhone 6 PP Case. I love the material, i love it if its slippery, i dont mind that, since its secure if i drop the phone with the case. It's important for me that it is slippery and has that material, because it doesnt get any dust and you can clean it easy.

I wonder how you could get it so fast though, i am still waiting for my preorder (black one) and still have no shipping confirmation...
Could you get it before, because you are a reviewer?

I want my too... cant wait to get it :/

Regards,
Can

Hi Can,

I did have the good fortune to get my cases early :) RhinoShield sent them out early to me so that I could get my review out quickly. Thanks for your kind comments--you make a good point about the easy cleaning aspect of the PlayProof!

Yes. But it's misleading to call it "Enhanced grip" when it's slippery.
